The Talking Stick is an ancient tribal tool used to facilitate group discussion. This talking stick has been created by Ross LewAllen, Santa Fe artist, in the image of the Hawaiian Huna talking stick with the name of Paoa, which means ‘talking from the tree.’ This is an appropriate symbol for the blog which has been developed to facilitate communication among workshop participants, knowledge holders, museum personnel and scientists.
